According to npower’s research, medium-sized businesses see energy as a greater area of risk for their business than cash flow, legislation and security; only sales was seen as posing a greater threat.

More than 90% of those businesses polled said that they wanted tools to help them take control of their energy buying.

This comes in the wake of the CBI’s Future Champions report, which said that larger companies should be offering more support to medium-sized businesses. The report suggested that to boost medium-sized businesses which aren't growing or are growing at a slow rate, the CBI and the government should encourage larger firms to support their supply chain and share best practice.
